Cycle Framework

Cycle State Transition

A cycle transition is the moment a symbol switches from one cycle state to another — say, Bottom range into Uptrend. Transitions offer the best risk-reward window, and are also where most mistakes happen.

No state lasts forever. Energy stored during a bottom range eventually pushes price into an uptrend; an exhausted uptrend decays into a top range — each switch between states is a transition. A full cycle usually rotates through Bottom range → Uptrend → Top range → Downtrend, though skips and retries happen.

Transitions are precious because they are the most asymmetric spot on the map: entering early in a Bottom-range-to-Uptrend transition puts your stop just below while the upside has only begun to open. Chasing the same trend after it is two-thirds done multiplies your drawdown risk for the same reward.

The hard part is confirmation. Fake breakouts at range boundaries are everywhere; eyeballing charts gets you trapped by noise and frozen by doubt when the real move comes. The reliable approach is pre-defined structural confirmation — for example, a decisive reclaim of a key moving average with the channel turning in agreement — and only then is the transition declared.

CycleMaster’s engine evaluates every symbol’s state continuously; the moment a transition confirms, it prints a timestamped, immutable record and fires an alert. You do not watch the screen waiting for the turn — the system comes to you when it happens.

FAQ

Aren’t most transition signals just fake breakouts?

No confirmation scheme eliminates false signals entirely, but structural conditions filter out most of the noise; the survivors are handled by stop-loss discipline. The point of confirmation is to make being wrong cheap and being right holdable.

Do the four states always rotate in order?

Usually yes — Bottom range → Uptrend → Top range → Downtrend — but a shock can drop a symbol straight from Uptrend into Downtrend. That is exactly why the evaluation must be continuous rather than scripted.
